After signing up at Finishers.org, I had email contacts from several different mission agencies. A few made telephone contacts with me. After talking to one agency three times over a period of 15 months, God continued to provide additional subtle confirmations about retiring and joining Him to serve. After what I considered certain confirmation from the Lord, I decided to resign.
I won’t forget that moment after I informed my supervisor and left the office. I’ve had 16 years of formal education and 35 years of work after graduating from college. But when I started on that trip home I felt like I had finally graduated; and for the first time in 57 years, I felt as though I was beginning to do what God had created me for. These last two and a half years have been so rewarding. I love my life and what God has prepared me to do.

I worked in the computing industry for nearly 30 years-the last 22 at Intel. God has been planting seeds in my life for a long time, and last June I announced that I was retiring.
Last fall I attended a Finishers workshop at MissionFest Northwest. Finishers gave me the opportunity to link up with mission agencies and determine where I could best fit in with my skills for His kingdom. After registering on the Finishers website, my profile matched the needs of nearly 80 mission agencies.
