Dear Friends, My friend and sister in the Lord Tanya Ivanenko just phoned. There is a young woman in their church who is going through some very difficult times right now. Her name is Katya. When Tanya and I were in Louisville, Tanya shared about Katya's life and how she came to the Lord through many difficult circumstances. Katya's mom has cancer and has a very short time to live. The mom goes to a fortune teller and is very much against Katya going to church. She has told Katya not to pray for her, the mother and other relatives think that Katya is involved in a cult and keep pressuring her to also go to the fortune teller. Katya has a 5 year old son, who is also very sick with a high fever. They think he has meningitis. This is very serious for this young mother. Katya lives with her mom and takes care of her while also working. The church is praying and fasting through the situation. Will you pray too that the Lord will be near to Katya and give her strength in this very trying time? Please pray for her son Vladik that the Lord will touch him and show his glory to the many unbelievers that are all around, pressuring her to walk away from the Lord. Thank you. |
